Oh well Hello there...*crickets*...been awhile huh? So since we are past the 1/2 way mark of the year ( how the fq did that happen???) I decided it was time to peek back in here and take a look at those 10 lofty goals I set at the beginning of the year. Oh and a phone photo dump to go with :
1. Start a Blog:
Did that, got frustrated, regained interest only to have life go bat shit crazy and then have literally NO TIME to wipe my own ass, let alone write a post. Does my instagram count? I do post there pretty regularly hahahahahaha!
2. Have an EPIC yard & garden:
Holy balls careful what you ask for Lady!! Since we ended up buying a completely different house than we thought. The homestead has a 2 acre "yard" with .34 of and acre spot fenced off for the garden. That's not including the 3.5 acre pasture that I have no idea what to do with. I am outside 80% of everyday. I've moved god only knows how many metric tons of rock with my wheelbarrow and shovel. And lets not even talk about the pick-up load of shit "literally" for the garden. Let's just leave it at stinky boogers ;) However, the payoff......ahhhhhh our own slice of heaven...oh and a nice tan :)
3.Go Outside:
ummmmmm yeah, see above, and add to it the weekly sometimes twice weekly adventures to magical places I thought only existed in my imagination. Oh and I've been walking every morning with my neighbor so yeah for goal #4!!
See #3 :) Turns out all my fat lil dog needed was a deaf rambunctious sibling to run the weight off him. He is looking trim and debonair these days. Yeah total FAIL in the water department. I'm working on it. Baby steps right?
5.Take a photo everyday:
I get an A+ on this one. Even if I don't post them all on IG I have taken a pic everyday. I love looking back through them.....especially seeing our new puppy, Harley grow.
6.Come out of Blurkerville:
I have connected with some rad folks via social media. I'm still not a huge commenter and since the death of the reader I haven't looked at blogs unless it is a link through IG. (yes instgram whore here)
7.Curb my craft hoarding:
I get an A+ here too!! Although my entire craft collection is still packed in the garage so I guess that's a bit of a deterrent. So is the fact I have to leave the homestead to get to a craft store, something Im not excited to do. However I still have to check out the thrift stores every once in awhile.
8.Embrace the new me:
I probably come across as a total narcissist on instagram with my selfies. But for me, someone who has hated having her picture taken, it has been such a huge step!! I even wore my swimsuit with just shorts instead of my usual t-shirt covering everything to the amusement park!! I seriously can not express how huge this is for me. Totally freeing. Not that don't have my days....I certainly do- bed head/two day old clothes/ dirty feet...but I don't give a sheet ;)
yeah...no comment
10. Live everyday like its my last:
museums, 120 miles for homemade donuts, random adventures to secret lakes, floating the river, spontaneous amusement park runs, hysterical giggles in an Olive Garden, Butterfly meadows, huckleberry hunting, home cooked meals with our own produce and eggs, star lite nights under the Big Sky with the moon illuminating the mountains.
Yes Life is Good
